2024 Lights in the Heights Wrap Up

The 37th Annual Lights in the Heights went off smoothly this weekend, even though some rain came in to try to dampen the spirits of all the revelers. The Woodland Heights Civic Association may have presented the event, but it was only possible to implement it with the many volunteers who took time out of their daily lives to help coordinate it. (Note: If you’re interested in volunteering for this committee, email us, and we'll add you to next year's list.)

We sincerely thank the 2024 Lights in the Heights Committee and their volunteers who helped plan, coordinate, and implement all the ‘behind the scenes’ elements to put this event on. We also thank all our Lights in the Heights Sponsors, Bash Sponsors and attendees, and Auction Item Purchasers – your support helped underwrite the cost associated with Lights in the Heights. Additional thanks to all the bands that volunteered to play on porches to event crowds and to the homeowners who added to the music with their own bands. (Special Note: We get several inquiries as to which band played at which home, so if you had a private band and would like to let us know where they played so we can update the event map of bands so we can respond to these inquires – send in your home and band name to communications@woodland-heights.org we would appreciate it.)

As we wrap up another successful Lights in the Heights, we hope everyone had a great time and wish you all the best during this holiday season. May it be filled with joy, peace, and wonderful memories.

2024 Lights in the Heights Home Decorating Winners

We drove slowly through the neighborhood to take photos of this year's Lights in the Heights home decorating contest winners. Clark Griswold would be envious of some of the designs!

If you take a trip down Byrne, you might see Clark Griswold and A Hunk A Hunk 'O Byrne—ng Love tribute decorations. Euclid Swifties have decked their homes out, and their work is worth seeing! Plus, the entire neighborhood is feeling the joy of the season. We hope you’ll drive or stroll the streets to enjoy their handiwork.

WHCA 2024 Lights in the Heights® Sponsors

LITH® is organized by the Woodland Heights Civic Association with the support of a diverse array of very generous sponsors. Be sure to show them some love as you go about your holiday merry making.

The "Travisaurus" at Travis Elementary School, a local creation sparked the creation of a playful and fanciful dinosaur-themed ornament. Designed by Karla Cisneros, the design imagines our neighborhood T-Rex as an astronaut (a nod to Houston's identity and historic role in space exploration).

2024 Lights in the Heights Official Logo

The Official 2024 Lights in the Heights® logo was selected from entries submitted in June. The "Travisaurus" design will become the 2024 LITH cloisonné ornament and will be the featured logo on all merchandise and signage. Proceeds from the ornament sale are also used to fund the event.

Please note we do not ship ornaments - pickup times and locations will be announced at a later date.
